Home care is essential for dependent persons, in order to support the high levels of morbidity, for the elderly as well as their caregivers, as it enables patients to remain in their familiar environment as long as possible, fulfilling the wish expressed by most of the population. Home care is the activity that best represents the essential attributes (longitudinality, comprehensiveness, continuity, coordination) of the primary, and that suffers most when these attributes are not included in the activities undertaken by primary care teams, or due to cuts in health-care.Home care requires highly skilled, versatile and committed nursing staff, with whom the population identifies as a source of care, and where they are assessed for their relevance and effectiveness. Nurses with wide clinical care skills, with a balanced content of treatment and prevention, and the freedom to develop their work, are needed in order to continuously monitor the health problems of their acute and chronic patients, in the family and community. 相似文献

International Nursing Review Aim: We propose that the conceptual orientation of professional identity is a logical consequence of self‐concept development by focusing on career and its meaning and presents a measurable set of concepts that can be manipulated to improve retention of student and registered nurses within health service. Background: Although professional identity is a term that is commonly written of in nursing literature, its theoretical origins remain unclear, and available empirical evidence of its presence or ability to change is omitted from nursing research. Sources of evidence: We present a professional identity pathway and explore the factors that influence professional identity throughout a career in nursing. Discussion: Nurses' professional identities develop throughout their lifetimes, from before entering nursing education, throughout their years of study and clinical experience, and continue to evolve during their careers. Education is, however, a key period as it is during this time students gain the knowledge and skills that separate nurses as professional healthcare workers from lay people. Conclusion: Finally, a call for longitudinal studies of students to graduates, using conceptually derived and psychometrically proven instruments capable of detecting the subtle changes in the construct over time, is recommended. Further empirical research into the theoretical concepts that underline professional identity, and the factors that influence changes in this important construct in nursing, is required. General references show that the type of professional identity known as collective self-esteem could be an important factor in professionals’ job satisfaction and burnout. However, little attention has been paid to identifying the interactions of these three variables in music therapy. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between music therapists’ job satisfaction, collective self-esteem, and burnout. Specifically, this paper emphasizes the role of collective self-esteem as a mediator between music therapists’ job satisfaction and burnout. Ninety professional music therapists in Korea participated in this study. ABSTRACT Objectives: The aim of this research was to shed light on the relation of social role experiences and health to well-being outcomes of 198 middle-aged (40–55 years old) Swiss women living in various familial contexts (double-track women, i.e., partnered working mothers, homemakers, single mothers, single women). Results: Our results revealed that the way roles were experienced was primarily a function of a specific living context and satisfying social resources. Double-track women and homemakers showed the highest social role satisfaction rates and had better health and well-being outcomes than other women. Common to all groups was a considerable difference between actual and desired role investment. Discussion: The findings are discussed in terms of a resource-oriented model of well-being. 相似文献

Aim To provide an original perspective on the power and status of first-line nurse managers by observing their working environment. Background The role of first-line nurse managers includes clinical, administrative and managerial components, with their responsibilities not always reflected in their level of organizational power. The business literature suggests that an appropriately resourced workspace is not merely functional, it also confers power and status. Method Twenty Australian rural nurse managers’ workspaces were observed, as part of a larger qualitative study that explored their role and organizational power using semi-structured interviews. The observational data consisted of detailed researcher notes that were analysed thematically. Results The nurse managers’ workspaces were suboptimal and did not provide sufficient physical space or resources for the participants’ to manage tasks effectively. These results were considered using Kanter’s theory of organizational power. Implications for nursing management The findings support those reported in the business literature that inadequate physical workspaces are counterproductive in terms of both functionality and organizational power. Suggestions are made regarding the workspace needs of first-line nurse managers, based on a closer alignment between the work environment and their role responsibilities. These days, discussions of what might be the ‘essence’ or the ‘core’ of nursing and nursing practice sooner or later end in a discussion about the concept of care. Most of the ‘newer’ nursing theories use this concept as a theoretical core concept. Even though these theoretical approaches use the concept of care with very different philosophical foundations and theoretical consistency, they concur in defining care as the essence of nursing and thereby glorify goodness as the decisive characteristic of nursing. These theoretical approaches neglect the fact that nursing is above all a profession with a societal task and is characterized by an asymmetrical power relation between nurses and their patients. Based on the results of a research project that analysed the role nurses played in the killing of psychiatric patients in Germany during the Nazi regime, I demonstrate that an approach based on the concept of care is not able to explain how nurses were able to commit crimes of such atrocity. These crimes were bound to an emotional investment that sustained the production of ‘life unworthy of living’. In the case of nurses under the Nazi regime, certainly a kind of sadism was at issue that can only be explained if we recognize that the social bond is characterized by a certain tension; ‘goodness’ that caring theories assign to the social bond always coexists with the capacity for destruction. Using the Foucauldian theoretical framework of biopower and biopolitics enables one to analyse violence and power as integral parts of nurses' practice. Seen from this perspective, the killing of patients was part of a biopolitical programme and not a relapse into barbarism. The concept of care obscures the political agenda of nursing and does not provide a critical and political framework to analysing nursing practice. 相似文献

目的研究分析层级培训模式在消化内科实习护士带教中的应用对护士业务水平的提高评价。方法选取于在2019年1月—2020年1月在消化内科实习的78名护士作为该次调查的对象,采用随机方法将该次参与研究的实习护士分为对照组以及实验组,每组39名。该次调查中对照组采用传统带教模式,实验组采用层级培训模式。观察对照组、实验组实习护士临床护理能力。结果实验组实习护士的带教总平均成绩为(86.67±4.3)分明显高于对照组实习护士总平均成绩(66.13±5.7)分,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05);实验组实习护士对带教的满意率为94.87%明显高于对照组实习护士满意率71.79%,差异有统计学意义(χ2=7.477,P<0.05);带教护士对实验组实习护士的满意率为97.44%高于对照组满意率为69.23%,差异有统计学意义(χ2=11.169,P<0.05)。结论针对消化内科实习护士的带教采用层级培训模式可以有效提高护士的业务水平,提高实习护士临床护理能力,并且提高实习护士与带教护士对彼此双方的满意率。 相似文献
